Title: Fuel Pump to Carb Lines 1970 383
Post by: erik70rt on April 18, 2017, 12:50:21 PM
The original lines are long gone from my car.  It's a 383 with the Holley carb.  Should it use a 1 piece or two piece line?  I've seen listings for both.

Thanks!

Do you have N95 (CA Emissions)?

Which fuel pump are you running? if the outlet had a hose barb the one piece is what you want, if it accepts a 5/16 flare then the two piece gives you a short length of steel line that connects to the fuel filter...

I think the 2nd line is the N95 emission return.

I'll check when I get home.  I would assume a stock pump, but this car has been full of changed things and surprises (like having both the mechanical fuel pump and an electric fuel pump).

Looks like I need a one piece.  A previous owner mocked up a two piece.

This is good info, but where does the fuel filter go ?

That's a good question.  I would assume up by the carb, but my current set up has it down by the fuel pump.

The same place it goes on all mid 60's to mid 70's Mopar big block.... The one piece line is the same as the upper line that comes with the two piece set but instead of a formed lower line it uses a rubber hose....

Makes sense...the term "one piece" was throwing me off :looney:
