Since the e-bodies lines are so beautiful, there are many works of art that feature them. I thought I would start a thread where we can share our favorites. One of my favorite artists is Michael Irvine. Please feel free to add your favorites. Here is a link to his site: http://michaelirvine.com/39-art-mopar

Beautiful art indeed, thanks
:ohyeah:
Also, we all need to remember that when we restore one of these cars we are not just expressing mechanical skill. There are also artistic preferences and skills at work.
Restoration exactly as built
Put on vinyl top or leave it off
What stripe to use
What color to paint the car
What wheels to put on the car
When we build a restomod or custom, etc. all of this becomes important. It really does express your own artistic self.
And then there are those like, Alan. He restores these cars exactly the way they were built. The same way that skilled artist restore great works of art.
One of my hobbies is building model cars and putting them in dioramas. I like the rusty/crusty look of the cars in barns scenes. I found the artist Dale Klee does a lot of stuff in this style. Especially like his calendars. @oldcarart.com I also got a bunch of black and white prints of Thom Sansoucie . Got most of these for under $5.00 from a guy at a car show. @pacificcarart.com Got them above my modeling bench area.
I like your thinking on this, cars certainly are an art form and this is a cool way of viewing this world

Those are great everybody. Thanks. :ohyeah:
I'll through something up here eventually. :haha:
I have these up in my house.........I don't seem to have any good pictures of the Brice Road one on my wall so I'll just post a picture off Google.

The first Irving print is so cool with the street version cars but the reflection on the road is the Trans Am cars
Stunning work Toxicwolf! How long does it take you to draw one?

The one here was fairly simple. A few hours. It's all about the composition and complexity. It can take months. :waving:
I love the Rat Fink art and similar. I also love the vintage Trans Am race art... have a cpl.
Posted this elsewhere, but really belongs here. Maybe Mopar maybe not , but car art none the less.

I have never used this place, but it looks interesting. They say that if you send them a picture of your car they will make it into a painting.
An original Cuda bill board from back in the day!

There is a process for printing pictures onto canvas which can then be stretched over a frame, so it appears to have the texture of a painting.

Thant could be what they do. I'm not sure. But some of the paintings they have on the site are really nice. :notsure:

Not a lot of mopar only art...but here are a few things hanging on our walls!
ToxicWolf, I love your work....especially the ladies. lol
What is the substance of your models, are they clouds or solids?
I am wanting a cloud or ultimately a solid of a cuda. I am wanting to make a large scale model and use the
3d model to design a forming buck for the project.
Any ideas?
Cheers!

That is from one of the '68-'69 Plymouth Ad campaigns. They had a lot of cool, cartoon style drawings for the Barracuda, Road Runner, and GTX.
Just for fun

Don't blame you at all 340challconvert for liking that Challenger picture. That's the reason I bought the Sainty International tool box with Micheal Irvine's "They came with the farm free" wrap. I put it in the trunk to hold cleaning gear for shows and cruises. Thanks, Al
I've got to get one of those tool boxes and put it in the trunk of my Challenger. Even if I never put any tools in it. :haha:
Hey Jim! Guess I'm just unconventional, no tools in mine..........just show and cruise cleaning items. LOL. Thanks, Al

You know.... the more I look at 70 Chargers I must say they are growing on me. I had a strong dislike for them at one time but I'm softening up on that. Still MUCH prefer the 68 though. :alan2cents:

:iagree: 2nd gen was the best years for the Charger, but '68 had the best grille and taillights.
