The one here was fairly simple.  A few hours.  It's all about the composition and complexity.  It can take months.

There is a process for printing pictures onto canvas which can then  be stretched over a frame, so it appears to have the texture of a painting.

Thant could be what they do.  I'm not sure.  But some of the paintings they have on the site are really nice.
