COORS LIGHT :bradsthumb: Pain the the butt to buy beer up there though. :bricks:
Coors Light is not beer. You need a real beer like Absent Landlord or Ransack the Universe.
:iagree: :haha: Coors Light is pretty soft when it comes to beers, but they have a good taste to them.
Canadian is good beer! PBR is a great swap meet beer, haven't met anyone that turns that down. And it takes a few of them before you have to blink at the price to decide if that says $100 or $1000.
Do the E-bodies peeps have a hotel they frequent, or is it just every man for himself and the tent at the show? We need to make this happen, it is been too many years of not walking in the rain, scorching heat, stifling humidity and man-eating mosquitoes.
We don't need to try and beat this year. Just get together again next year and enjoy it for whatever it is.
Is it because of simple availability that you guys stay so far away from the show ? I like being 2 miles from the show :worship:

That is exactly the reason . . . Give everyone an opportunity to get a room together. One year we moved closer to the show but not all could get a room at that hotel and we found members all over the place. Staying where we do is getting better with a variety of hotels and enough room for all. Plus it is a nice ride down the xway to the show in the morning I think!

I cannot, in any faith whatsoever, like this post... :stop:
I'm not a beer drinker so please forgive me, but I thought Coors Light was what you got when you drank a Canadian beer....you pissed out Coors Light

Didn't think politics or religion were open for discussion on E-B.O :o

  Good thinking Russ!
I'll launch the first grenade here...
I just made reservations at the Holiday Inn Express in New Cumberland for 2018. It's a straight shot down the turnpike from the fairgrounds(maybe 20 minutes). I think the toll might be $1.25 each way, but you can drive a little North of the Hotel on I-83 and take 581 to 11 into the fairgrounds too. Just some red lights to deal with there.
I love you guys. :) I'll buy as much pizza as you can eat at the parking lot pizza party. I have to consult with Viperman if this will be Friday or Saturday night. I can't wait for 2018!
:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:
You've got my vote. :crazytalk: :crazytalk:

People really seemed to like the Friday night club dinner verses Saturday, though unfortunately our usual Saturday night parking lot party fizzled much earlier than usual... Actually I think people stayed out the latest on Thursday night - even I was asleep in the hotel when Ashley finally came in for the night!

Jeff,
I like the Friday night club dinner too. It gave us a chance to unwind on Saturday night. The reason it fizzled out early is because we are getting old. ::)
Reality bites some times, but that's the truth.
Also, it might be that the cars were trying to park close to us too. Seemed like earlier in the evening we had plenty of space, but as the night went on the parking lot was getting full and cars were wanting to park where we were hanging out. I think SpikeDogRules put up an empty pizza box to block people off from driving back there and someone just drove over it.

Why were we in the lower lot? Before it was in the upper lot and I think that would be less disruptive to other hotel guests. I think we have to be careful here. A lot of us taking up space in the parking lot were not staying at that hotel.
We were in the lower lot because there was no light in the upper lot. Next year we will move back to the upper lot and bring lights if needed
I only stayed there this year for the rate! It costs a lot just to get to the show with about $100 dollars in tolls each way . . . $79 a night for the room is helpful. I had a room at the Holiday Inn as well and didn't decide until I got there . . . If the Quality Inn didn't look better than last year, I was going across the street. Low and behold . . . It did look better . . . So I stayed there. Room was fine, had a fridge and microwave, air conditioning worked fine. Not much of a breakfast but I usually don't eat in the morning anyways. Yeah probably stay there again unless my wife comes . . .
Yeah,
We were in the lower parking lot of the Quality Inn this year. I felt kinda bad when cars were circling and looking for a parking space.
The upper lot is our usual haven. There was a burned out light bulb up there this year, so we'll give them a year to replace it.
What I found funny was I parked my car in that upper lot Saturday night, and walked over to the Holiday Inn express. When I walked back the next morning, the upper lot was still empty. So nobody knows what a great party area this can be but us, given it is lit up again by next year.
Hey, now it's only 318 days to Carlisle!! Woo-hoo!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 273 was the precursor to the 318 engine?
Anyway, I made my Hotel reservations months ago for 2018. What is taking you people so long? :unbelievable:
So I get there bright and early Friday this year, only to be met with a torrential downpour. I waited in my car, and waited, and waited. Finally it was a light drizzle, so I made my way to the club tent. I then found the club tent to be below sea level. Thankfully, a couple of hours later the water went underground and all was well with the Mopar world.
I had a GREAT time. Come on people, sign up to do this again.
The 273 was actually the earlier version of the LA series but was also more of a performance engine than the 318 as it had solid cam , adjustable rockers & 4bbl carb
I will book at the Scottish inn across the highway again once I figure out how I am getting there !!
See if there is a car to build on the way there or something !!
Maybe
@Rev-It-Up (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/rev-it-up_235) Laura will have her Cuda by then :wrenching:

144 days!!
That is Great news !! :veryexcited:
Russ,
It will be great to see you again.
141 more days!
I've been way behind on the 8-ball with my job running out here in West Ohio and not sure where I was going next. I ALMOST made it to Michigan but it fell through on me...
But I did just get our hotel booked for Carlisle! We'll be at the Holiday Inn Express again in New Cumberland.
We'll have to start discussing our club dinner ideas fairly soon. There's no way I'm going to be able to pull off last year's festivities this year - at this point I'm hoping to keep a positive bank account balance through April/May... :) But we can probably do Dodge City again, or try for something new.
I don't know that we're bringing any cars this year - looks like we'll have a 9'ish hour drive and I'm going to be traveling a lot for few months between now and then, so I'm not going to get to pay much attention to the cars...
But we'll be there. Come hell or high water, we'll be there... :)
Good luck with the new job . . . South Carolina I think you said . . . be warmer there anyways!
