:takepicture: 1970 V-Code LA Cuda.
This was on the V code Cuda I just took apart last week....Notice both the factory FC7 and TX9 paint...This car was screwed up at the factory and painted the wrong colour first :drunk:
Got any more doodles lately Alan?
:bigthumb: AAR 'Cuda
I've wondered what this meant on my AAR. Slant Slide :dunno:
Slant Slide... awesome!!...... '70 TX9 6bbl 'Cuda
Money, Money, Money... Money
Don't know who's this is. Just a picture I've had for a long time.
I found this on the 70 AAR
Loved finding all of these on my Challenger. Kinda takes you back to Detroit in 1970.
When I disassembled the interior for repairs, I found the name Al or A1 on the right side inside wheel well.
Not sure if it was someone's name or a build code of some sort?
:dunno:
Heres my 70 Challenger with 26 on the firewall ???
When I tore my car down to paint it, I found this on the back of my glove box.
I have a few glove boxes with names on them. I'll take a picture
Looking at the Rock signature, I gotta wonder if that wasn't a two person inside joke. Seeing 1, 2, 4, etc on that inner fender designated something. Then someone further down the line, after the number served its purpose, converted the 2 into the Rock signature.
The R does look very 2ish.
Surely someone over the last two years has something to add to this. Anyone?
Some I found on my 70 R/T
JS27
On my numbers match 70 440...anyone have the goods on this?
My car has two build sheets. One of them is heavily doodled.

Is that an older restoration ?
Who knows? I have one document from the 80s stating it was "ready for paint in black primer". The more history I dig into, the more I find. Why do you ask that?
:takealook: older restoration :alan2cents: they were numbered, that has been redone
Very interesting. Another thing learned. I pulled the intake to see into the valley and it looked brand new. I'm not sure what my engine shop choice will tell me when they get into this thing. The oil is honey clear like new. No grease or leaks on the engine anywhere.
Hi have a "5" on the right rear wheel well
70 U code R/T auto Y07 specs.
Car is in the body shop, so no picture at this time
Usually I thought those valve cover numbers were done with a China pencil ...that looks like marker in my opinion and I thought 125 was for something else

@Marksmopar1 (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/marksmopar1_2647) , tell us about your U code. Color, options, etc.
70 Challenger R/T 440 Auto A01 / A36 / A62 FT6 (Dark Tan Metallic) Black vinyl roof / Black Longitudinal stripe.
15X7 Rallye wheels / Space saver tire option/ 3:55 sure grip / Y13 /Y07 A04 build date
It was purchased in Alberta Canada in 1989 by the previous owner. Now resides in Manitoba Canada
I assume the car was sold new there (Alberta). I would like to know more about it's former life in Alberta and what dealer it was sold at... I believe it had a colorful life.
It was Blue then Red now I am returning it to the original color. a very clean car!
Basically thats it... :) I noticed the build sheets, 1 month apart these cars.
I did locate the sequential number car to mine in Saskatchewan Canada..1 number off on the Vin. Same car except Lime light and white roof and interior...in rough shape. It was cool seeing that!
Found these in a 1971 Challenger today....Wonder if she ever dated "Rock" ? :haha:
Differential markings for the 3:55 sure track
Can barely make out the markings on the rear of the pumpkin?
Clearly a 10/22 date code on the differential
on an (October 6th SPD) car
Some factory marks on cuda doors that is for sale on e bay at the moment
As I have been cleaning up the underside of my 74 Charger Rallye, there have been some interesting marks come to light. Here's the best.

not to hijack this cool threat but does anyone know anything about "rock" on the wheel housing? My old 70 440-6 Cuda had it and seems to be common on 6bbl cars... aar or 440 versions. Getting soft on the brain but don't remember it shown on Challengers.
ROCK is all over the place.
There was a doodles thread on CC that had a lot of rock pictures. Surely someone else has some Rock pictures. Anybody out there?
Looks like we have 3 so far on this thread. 2 from AAR's and one random unknown.
I'd be interested in knowing what SPD cars "Rock" visited, and which line he was on, or if he was more random.
I would love it if enough people would post up these pics and spd's so that we could find that out.
I've always been curious as to who he/she was.
We need more people to post up pictures then. Would love to piece that together.
My 70 Challenger R/T with SPD 610 on left wheel well

To update an old thread. I was working on this 1970 T/A and found this on the wheel well when I pulled out the interior.

Scheduled production date. Not necessarily the actual date the car was built, but the date that the car was originally scheduled to be built.
Got it, thanks! I took a picture of the tag.
414.
April 14th 1971 is your SPD.
I'm always curious about the dates of the "Rock" cars. I wonder how long he was working in the factory and writing his name.
Thanks for posting!
From my early 11/69 Hamtramck build:
It's definitely one or the other. That's one of the great mysteries along with sequence number, until the fender tag comes out of hiding from the prior owner's sock drawer (in the mid-70s) or someone with an early build 1970 with black leather buckets uncovers one of my build sheets. :-)
(For anyone reading this with either a Rallye Red or Tor Red Gran Coupe with Black Leather and a 318, I may have your Broadcast sheet. Posted up elsewhere on this site and others).
It'd be interesting to know if Rock signatures were only on cars from one of the two assembly lines. It'd be a hint on whether employees moved around or if Rock was mobile between both lines as an inspector.
The ROCK AAR I restored was an EN1 car :dunno:
Got any pictures to add?

Thought I already posted them on here  ...but here you go....before & after
Sweet! Restored rock.
My 72 Challenger looks like "918" is painted on transmission hump.

Here is a photo of a doodle I found on Rt Wheel well.
