Thought it would be useful to have a post on useful drawings. I can't remember who/where I got all of these, if there is a legal reason or if you have an issue with me posting them, let me know and I'll have them removed. tags...

Yea nice addition to our forum
I know most of the info is posted around on various sites, but ..... since the idea is an aggregation of data and information, can a new area be created just for these types of items? I have some I could contribute as well (such as the '70 Plymouth Service Manual in a searchable PDF format ... very cool, but takes up 661MB of space by itself). it could be a big burden on long term web storage usage, but well worth it in the long run (+ we all hate the inevitable ... 'image can no longer be displayed' error because the post is 5 years old and the link dead)
Great idea guys. So we have a few options where to store the data.
1. We can store it on the website and under the Resource tab link it would show up.
2. We can store it on the forum.
It's all the same size files so it doesn't matter where we put. The advantage to having in on the forum is anyone can add information to the thread making it better and growing faster. On the website it would take an admin to upload it.
I vote for the forum, but I'll put it wherever the group wants? Thoughts on location? :clueless:
I agree forum sound good to me...I have a few different reference items I've saved over the years as well.
Forum sounds good !
These are ALWAYS good ones...people asking all the time...
I get asked for this one too....

Some great stuff!!!! We'll get this moved to a new board that will be specifically for this useful information.
I like the idea of posting to forum also. it can always be uploaded to the website in the future if needed.
I like the idea of having a different area with different sections for say interior/body/mechanical/general for this type of reference material so it can be easier to find (if folks are labeling their title post decently)

We have a new board just for this stuff!!!! :veryexcited: Great idea guys. This is brilliant!
Great Idea Cody :worship:
Maybe break it into categories? It might get cluttered and hard to find stuff if it gets to be 100 pages
Another great Idea....feel free to move my pictures anywhere you want....
Maybe several different headings under one topic :notsure:

Anyone have a diagram of under hood wiring harness straps/tie down
I don't think I've ever seen one of those? Might be a good one to make next time someone wires a car.

I would appreciate it if someone did. :woohoo:
I'll look through my "in process" pictures, see what I have...I usually put them all in place early on, before the engine etc...
How about a nice engineering doc about blackout placement where everyone forgets!
Cuda tail emblem placement
before this post gets out of hand and unmanageable, we may want to break this one apart into individual posts, labeled properly for easier finding and reference. my 2 alan cents
We should break it down into sections: i.e. body, electrical, transmision, etc.
Good question. It's our forum so we can do whatever we want. Keep this in mind. From what I've seen of forums is if they have a lot of "categories" with only a few posts the users think the forum is small or not busy. If they see a few "categories" with a lot of posts then users think it's big and busy. And nothing draws a crowd, like a crowd. I'll set it up however everyone wants, but I would suggest as few of categories as possible to make it work. Or we could use good titles and "tags" to make it super easy to search. :notsure:

I agree. as long as folks are creating separate item posts to classify it and use tags for keyword searches, there should be no need to create multiple categories. although it might be easier for some folks to find based on category. I'm certainly open to options, as long as everything isn't lumped into one big post (like this one is becoming. makes it impossible to find anything useful when you need it)
