Title: I will help find your parts
Post by: Roadman on October 05, 2017, 04:42:03 PM
Well guys and gals, since my stay in the hospital, I can't do much anymore but watch TV and be on this puter all day. Most of you don't have the time to research looking for the parts you need. Well, I do. And I need your help to keep me busy. So if you need something, PM me, or post it here, and I'll be on it. I'll forward links I find, if its local to me I'll go get it and send it to you. You can E Mail me @ roadman5312@aol.com. I don't want anything for doing this, just trying to stay busy.  @Cuda Cody (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/cuda-cody_1)  pin this if OK. Thanks ya'll   :rebelflag"

What a great idea Mark!

Rear view mirror for a 74 Challenger. Don't need the base or stem. Glass needs to be pin, mine has some silver issues as so many of them do.
Interior door handles. Mine are scratched and pitted.
Passenger side under dash trim for A/C car. I know these are very hard to find, I've been looking.

I'll think of more. Items must be near perfect or else I'll just buy repops when I get tired of looking.

Thanks buddy.

definitely cool to keep your mind working.

I'm always looking for M46 scoops.   :takemymoney: :takemymoney:

red interior plastics and tan interior plastics.

A complete set of V5x in any color.  Especially color.   Or pieces in perfect shape.

I sure enjoy your picture threads.  That visual stimuli is a large part of why I am around.  Thanks

Sorry to hear you are stuck in the hospital. Hope for a speedy recovery. I'll look for my list. Right now all I can think of is the driver front window weatherstrip for vert top, the L bracket for pass rear interior quarter panel along floor,

@Roadman (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/roadman_17)
This sure is a nice offer and a great idea to pass some time for you while laid up.  Here's one that should be easy but has turned out to be difficult for me.  It's a particular rim used as a trunk spare. Usually black.  No, it's not a collapsible. It's a 14 x 5.5" BB pattern plain steel rim #2944242 by valve stem hole.  Sounds easy right?  Well the biggest challenge is persuading folks to take the time to check their rollers, etc.  Here's a pic and good luck!!

Thanks
Tom

Well, you guys don't want much, do ya    :haha:   OK, I made a list this morning, if I liked your post it's on the list.  Just to clarify, I'm not still in the hospital, just came out in bad shape. When I find something on the list I'll post it here, so check in daily.  Thanks guys.   :rebelflag"    As I search I'll also post parts I find that are always being searched that are a good price.   :bradsthumb:

This could be eco friendly!

I follow Normansdad.  I've purchased several red parts from him.
I made him an offer a few weeks ago but he didn't bite.

So I just sent him another offer. On both parts.  Hopefully he bites.  My problem is that I don't have a red interior gran coupe.

Thanks a ton !

: UPDATE :   First, I want to thank you guys for keeping me busy. Since I can't do much else, this is the next best thing to being able to work on a car.

We had a few home runs, and still looking everyday for all that hasn't been found. Please remember that if you found what your looking for, either from this thread or elsewhere, please let me know so I can take it off the list.

I'm going to start another thread for interior parts ( plastics ) of color ( Reds, Blues, Greens, Tans, etc. ) that I trip over as I scour the web. It will also include convertible parts.

Anyway, thanks again, and keep em coming. I'm on the job.   :rebelflag"   :unitedstates:

I have a "friend" who needs a e-body battery filter and horn fluid. If you could find some cross drilled brake hoses to go with his cross drilled rotors, that would be cool too!

I'm getting my restored AC parts back finally, after almost 3 months.  I need the bracket that mounts the AC dryer to the passenger side inner fender on a '70 Challenger.
I could use an original passenger side T/A muffler strap too, and the trans to steering column reverse lockout components as mine disappeared when the car was off in restoration shop jail.

@Roadman (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/roadman_17) The starting threads on my AVS top housing for the fuel inlet fitting are buggerd up and I don't think the fitting will have enough threads to ensure a tight seal. As you can see, the fitting only has a couple of threads. I've looked for a longer fitting but not having much luck. GM has an "extended" length fitting but it is too big. The fitting I need is 5/8-20 x inverted fuel line flare. Any other ideas to get this fixed would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm looking for a set of 1969 pontiac grand prix parchment door panels with manual windows.
Would take rears as well.  This is something I've been looking for around 15 years.    For my original gold 428 model J grand prix.

Always looking for a 69 4 speed grand prix.  VERY few made. Any motor any color any shape (almost).

Just saying.

I had to sit back and think real hard as that price was really high for 4 little brackets but I guess if I can sell off the ones I don't use from the set it gets a little more reasonable. And like you said, I haven't seen any around and I'm getting to crunch time on getting this car done. The kids are beyond annoyed that I sold the dodge and they ask weekly about the cuda being ready for next summer... yes? maybe?

Anyway, I bought the brackets so you can take that off your list. Thanks for finding those!

Hi Mark
Searching for this part of an E body non AC heater box OR a passenger side heater delete fresh air vent, I only need the fresh air vent portion, I don't require the heater portion, so only th part of the box circled in red to the right of the yellow line, if I can get one that's busted up through the heater section that's great as I would trim that off the fresh air portion and glass it over etc

Thanks for the tip Mark!  :perfect10: You can cross that one off your list. It will be headed my way next week. I am beginning to think that heater boxes, with or without ac are getting harder and harder to find.  :handshake:

The one in the top left of that ad is the correct one but, as usual, the silver on the back of the glass is going bad. Thanks for your help.

I'm restorating a 73 Challenger and I'm finding that the dash is in really bad shape. The dash pad is cracked and needs restored. One of the previous owners installed auto meter gages and then glued ostrich skin on everything. The glove box is fine but that's about it

What's my best approach to restore the dash without spending $5K? Have you come across any parts that could help?

I also sent him a request from a friend of mine and he had it in an hour. We had looked and looked with no success.

Mark!
Sorry i have been absent without leave lately!  I am still in the market for a Right Front Fender for 70-71 Barracuda.  Also, i would like to add to my wish list: a good condition/non-butchered Edelbrock LD340 intake, and a donor 318 block & crank in rebuildable shape.  Hopefully all in the Central Florida area for easy pick-up (the manifold can ship from anywhere).
Thanks buddy!
Matt

Could you help me find two hood hinges and a rallye heater control panel for a 71 challenger? Hinges just need to not be structurally rusty. I can blast and paint them. Thanks!!

Certainly we all do miss Roadman and all the help he gave members here.

Would be cool if there's  anyone willing to take the torch and keep this thread going.

I would volunteer but working takes a bunch of my time up as many of you.

Perhaps we can be a team effort and any of us can assist when somebody inquires on a part on this thread they need.    :grouphug:

@Topcat (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/topcat_46) , I never met him but we spoke  many times on the phone. I got my headlight relay kit from him and sent him a old wiring harness experiment with. I have had good results with members helping out in the past and I try to help when I can.

@canadianclassics2 (https://forum.e-bodies.org/mlist/canadianclassics2_920) . . Sad to say that the author of this post has left the physical world and is no longer able to search for parts.  Certainly make a thread in the “parts wanted” area of the forum and I’m sure someone can point you in a direction of your needed parts ... if they are available!
