So I'm trying to get a feel as to how many members we have coming? Am going to possibly order some lunch for the tent on Sat and just not sure how many to order food for?
Also planning to secure the Dodge City restaurant for Friday night dinner . . Always a good time and decent food! Wondering how many will have for that? Anyone have any input? I talked to Ed B. And he indicated that it appears there are not to many refunds going out and the deadline has passed and the registration count continues to climb!
Pizza party on Sat is usually pretty easy . . Get a few pizzas and if need more, order more! Will check to see who is delivering this year? I know Pizza Hut is across the street . .
This is one of those events that you do not want to miss! :drinkingbud: Man, I wish I could be there.
Wish I was coming but it just didn't work out this year. One event I hate to miss.
The Barracuda is in the shop getting a few minor things done and a good going over so it will be ready. Count me in for Dodge City and of course the pizza party.
Voted yes but tied up being a vendor so don't plan on me for any activities.

Maybe not the lunch but you could certainly make the after hours dinner and the parking lot pizza party on Saturday! :grouphug:
Add 3 to your count Dave.
I'm bringing extra chairs, a couple of tables and a couple canopies in case we need them.
I also got water, soda and ice tea for us covered.
I'm in.
Not sure if I will have any extra's with me this year. Someone might jump in the passengers seat, but being a 28 hour drive it's unlikely.
SpikeDog, if you think of anything that I can help out with pm me.
Count me in too! I will be arriving at the fairgrounds with my wife on Friday afternoon, hopefully. Looking forward to meeting you guys.
Dave

What is your vendor spot? I don't think I saw that on the other carlisle location thread.

Thanks for that didn't know that the website had so much information. Never been there or to any car event that size. Thanks again.
I found the size & scope of the show impossible to imagine until I was there...

Awesome pictures Bullitt-
Just talked to my boss sounds like I can get some days off next week so going to head up there.
I thought after covid that I'd finally be able to get back to this show, but a niece's wedding on the Saturday put the kibosh on that, or at least that's what my wife tells me. 8)
I will be there only Friday as always. I am local 1 1/2 hrs. away. So, I go for the stuff that won't be there on Sat.
Ho how I wish I could go to Carlisle . I very much hope to one day not to far away . Here in Australia we do not have swap meets or shows that large ,as our population is only 25 million. But the pictures that have been posted are just fantastic with so much colour and so on .P.S for all the lucky people going this year have a great time and enjoy. :australia:

I'm curious. What won't be there Saturday? Parts in the vendors isle's?
I like to walk the field Thursday for the parts that disappear before Friday. Quote from: 6pack on July 08, 2022, 09:46:35 AM

You need to start Wednesday... :crying:
Many parts are still on either back order or no longer available. For the past four to five years, we are seeing more and more of the serious buyers coming in on Thursday only, making a large purpose and going back home. I have a feeling that if the trend holds true and people are spending money, that come Friday mid day, vendors selling some of the more popular pieces will be out of stock on those pieces. By Saturday noon, you will be seeing the smaller vendors packing up. I know that we start packing up around three on Saturday and hope to be finished loading by nine that evening.
Years ago, the event was a true Friday to Sunday event. Now, it is becoming a Thursday to Saturday event, especially for the swap meet. Sunday is basically a day for the show car award presentation. Even the show field gets a limited amount of the locals showing back on Sunday morning.
Seems half the swap field is gone Sunday morning.
I have made a few deals on Sunday so far. I've only been going a few years.
It is nice to see more of the cars on Sunday. All the cars in the buildings can't leave until noon on Sunday so they are all visible for viewing that morning. I barely go in the buildings Thursday through Saturday.

We had a member come from Australia one year . . Worth the trip!
I'll be bringing my 70 Challenger!
Getting ready for the big weekend! Anyone else getting excited? :cooldance:
Wasn't crazy about that unexpected torrential one hour downpour today about 5:30 but we were off the grounds by then.
Some wet sleeping tonight if you are tent ridden.
Might be a bit soggy tomorrow morning until the predicted heat dries it up.
Made it to the group of hotels but appears not to many members here as sitting outside by myself having a beer. Hopefully more are present at the tent tomorrow. Looks like the weather is cooperating . . First time in many years it didnt rain on me on the ride out.
I missed it this year. And missed hanging out. I plan on going next year. I'll be in one of these, as usual. I won 3rd place e-body convertible last year. Surprised the heck out of me, do thank you to anyone here that may have voted for me.
