Thanks for that didn't know that the website had so much information. Never been there or to any car event that size. Thanks again.

@cuda hunter where is that Carlisle location thread that you mentioned at. Is it a map of the grounds.  I have never been but I'm thinking about it and trying to figure it all out. My car isn't done and don't have a trailer yet either. But trying to decide if want to go out there next week.

This is the single most incredible event of the year.  Largest show field as well as the LARGEST swap meet I've ever been to.    I love the swap.  I spend pretty much 3 of the 4 days roaming the alleys.  Well worth the time to go.

Bullitt-

I found the size & scope of the show impossible to imagine until I was there...

I thought after covid that I'd finally be able to get back to this show, but a niece's wedding on the Saturday put the kibosh on that, or at least that's what my wife tells me. 8)

I will be there only Friday as always.  I am local 1 1/2 hrs. away. So, I go for the stuff that won't be there on Sat.

I'm curious.  What won't be there Saturday?  Parts in the vendors isle's?

I like to walk the field Thursday for the parts that disappear before Friday.

Ho how I wish I could go to Carlisle . I very much hope to one day not to far away . Here in Australia we do not have swap meets or shows that large ,as our population is only 25 million. But the pictures that have been posted are just fantastic with so much colour and so on .P.S for all the lucky people going this year have a great time and enjoy.  :australia:

Many parts are still on either back order or no longer available.  For the past four to five years, we are seeing more and more of the serious buyers coming in on Thursday only, making a large purpose and going back home.  I have a feeling that if the trend holds true and people are spending money, that come Friday mid day, vendors selling some of the more popular pieces will be out of stock on those pieces.  By Saturday noon, you will be seeing the smaller vendors packing up.  I know that we start packing up around three on Saturday and hope to be finished loading by nine that evening.

Years ago, the event was a true Friday to Sunday event.  Now, it is becoming a Thursday to Saturday event, especially for the swap meet.  Sunday is basically a day for the show car award presentation.  Even the show field gets a limited amount of the locals showing back on Sunday morning.

Seems half the swap field is gone Sunday morning.
I have made a few deals on Sunday so far.  I've only been going a few years.
It is nice to see more of the cars on Sunday.  All the cars in the buildings can't leave until noon on Sunday so they are all visible for viewing that morning.   I barely go in the buildings Thursday through Saturday.
