Back in 1978 and 79'; I would go to my Plymouth dealer in Los Gatos for parts where I grew up.
I remember vividly seeing a trophy on their shelf of a 71' Cuda.
It was awarded for some type of mechanics certification.
Has anyone ever seen this trophy and know anything about them?
I watch eBay all the time for old master tech stuff and I have never seen one.
I swear it existed.
Damn I should've begged to get it before they closed.
If I saw one on ebay I would hit the buy it now or beg to buy it off line before the auction closed. It has to be super rare. Can you even find a photo of it anywhere online? I'm sure I've never seen one and like I said, I look everyday for the master tech stuff. We're still missing 1 last issue for the complete online E-Body library so I check for it every day. I also look for the Master Tech patches because I like to collect those too.
Back in 78-79' not likely any pictures of it.
Now the only way to find out is if any mechanics recall seeing one.
I have one on my tool box
Ok............I will be the one to make the move............

Ford awards are easier to find...
is that because they had to hire more mechanics to fix them

Alan has everything lol. cool piece of history
The Chrysler/Plymouth dealers Trouble Shooting contest was a pretty big deal with high school vocational auto programs up until maybe the 90s. As schools started killing of vo/tech programs, dealer sponsorship disappeared.

I was in New Rochelle High School Vocational Auto Shop and in 1969 I was in the Plymouth trouble Shooting contest in N.Y
The Local Chrysler / Plymouth Dealer wanted to hired me after school was over.
Bob
I have a lot of them but the 71 that I just sold was a double.
It had some flaking but was still nice.
I have had some as late as 1989
I display the 66-72 ones...good years and only have one of each.
The 70 Trouble shooting contest award is cool as it has a 70 Cuda with the blue background
( gotta get these down and dust off )
Alan ...you have the trouble shooting award but have yet to achieve this ......or have you ?? :1place:
Real Nice Terry. I don't know what happened to my 1969 Plymouth trouble shooting stuff. :pullinghair: I still have some awards from the old days when I worked at Chrysler/ Plymouth & Dodge Dealers.
