70 BARRACUDA HEATER FAN HAS ONLY 2 OUT OF 3 SPEEDS **HELP**

My 70 heater blower motor only has two speeds out of 3...low and high. Its missing the middle speed. Is there a resistor or coil that needs to be replaced? If so, where is it located? Thank you in advance.

All E body cars, regardless of non a/c or a/c, only had two fan speeds. There was no middle speed.

Make sure the blower motor ground wire is secure and has a good connection.

Have you had the control out lately?  Make sure the switch(es) connectors are properly seated.  Also, get a look at your blower motor resistor.  You can find the specs on line to check it with an ohm meter.

It's a 2 speed fan not a 3 speed. It's a 2 speed fan not a 3 speed.

Hey Darci,

Please don't bother looking through all of the schematics and testing resistance. There are only two speeds for the blower motor on an E body, as I wrote previously. You will be chasing after a red herring trying to look for the middle speed.
