OD transmission shift rod modifications and crossmember orientation

We are very close to dropping the engine and tranny into the car. We are trying to cover the last details on everything before we do that.  I am looking at our transmission and realized that we still have some stuff to do.   We have the OD tranny, but right now the shift lever is assembled as if it is a normal A833.  I know that I have to flip the shift lever for the 3-4 gear.  What I don't know is whether the rod needs to be modified to do that.  Does it need bent or lengthened?  Also, I am not sure what the proper orientation is for the crossmember and the transmission mount that goes between the transmission and the crossmember.  Does anyone have a picture to show this?

The 3/4 shift rod is different for the OD compared to a non-OD tranny.

so I messes around with this for a few minutes tonight.  Looks like this is the only way it can go.  Please confirm that this is right.
As for the shift rod for the 3-4 gear, the one I have looks like it interferes with the crossmember.  I can modify the one I have.  It seems like it needs to have a bend and be slightly longer.  I have a second rod that I can use to lengthen it with, but I would like some guidance on what the bend should look like.  This would save me a lot of trial and error.

My shift rod turned out great I think.  I had a lot of help from @Dakota and a good phone conversation with @Dan Brewer .  Thank you both.  I bent the rod and lengthened it by about 1 1/4" I was previously given an extra 3-4 shift rod by @Dakota.  I cut the end off of my 3-4 rod and then cut a longer piece off of the extra rod and tig welded them together.
