Z bar 318 /383 are they the same

Working on 1970 Challenger was a 318 4spd car ,put a 1971 383 in it reused z bar flywheel clutch pressure plate ;did get a big block bell housing everything lines up ;looked great ,I don't have enough clutch throw with engine running it just grinds ran adujustment all the way out still nothing ,is the Z bar different for a big block ?feel like I just have a wrong part ,hate to pull tranny back out Gregg from Ct

Small block z-bar is different from big block for e-bodies.  Check out the Brewers website for pics.

Doesn't matter for this application, but if anyone searches and lands here, the small block and slant 6 z bars are the same.
