Brown lettered Radial TA tires

FYI to anyone disgusted by their brown letter BFG Radial TA tires:

I saw a video on YT about Michelin (parent company of BFG) replacing brown lettered TA tires. I followed his procedure and lo and behold...I got a new set of tires!!

My brown tires were date coded 2017 (outside their standard warranty period) and had about 100 miles on them. Michelin uses a " goodwill " policy. You pay tax and mounting and balancing.

I couldn't be happier now that my white letter tires are white.

I just got mine mounted up. I went blackwall.
I think mine are beyond goodwill, or reason. 1982

A thousand times.
My V speed rated 245/60/15 michelins finally are done.
 I tried to preseve them just for road trips. Now what?
 Bought some 245/60/15 Hancooks. They aren't as wide, and sidewalls are much more spongy. SR rated.
 The TA's won't last long.

 Higher speed rated tires have much stiffer casings. When cornering at the limits of adhesion, the progression to sliding is controlled.
 With a 1 1/4" front bar, and big torsion bars I put alot of force into the tires.
Then there is the fact that I do cruise at 90. I check tire pressure by temp. Guage and pyrometer.
Out west, campers with trailers are going over 80-85. Then there's california, no rules.
Its a big country folks, get out there and drive.
