I think we need to somehow get all those E body owners to join this forum and then join us under the tent at Carlisle - just not sure how we do that?   :dunno:

May get a few if someone printed flyers or a business car and put on or in the vehicle.  Does this forum let people know on the Facebook group(s) that this forum exists?  Many of those owners may be on Facebook but not here.

I refer people from the Facebook page to the forum all the time.

Flyers or business cards are a good idea, maybe get some new members.

Dumb question, but is the club tent with all of the ebody cars, or somewhere else?  Does the ebodies sign on the club tent face the ebody cars?  Perhaps a flyer directing the owners to the club tent and telling them about lunch would get some new faces.
As a vendor, I don't get to walk around anymore.  Just enough time to grab ham & cheese sandwiches from the food court.

Lunchbox

Was able to make it out for thur-sat of the show. Spend 95% of my time in the swap meet area, didn't really make it out to the show field much other than to look at the T/A's and AAR Cudas. Great show, will know more for next year, where to stay, what to do, how much time to allow, etc.

One thing for sure was I wasn't ready for the humidity  :tired:

The club tent is always somewhere in the E-bodies show field area. The Carlisle Event people decide where it goes. This year it was a great location. Right across from the Manufactures Midway on the main road to the stage. But we never really know ahead of time exactly where they put us. (Maybe we can and I just missed it.)

As far as advertising our lunch at the tent, You kind of see the problem. We never know where the tent will be, or like this year we bumped the time a little later. Then we had some trouble getting the food at the gate. That delayed lunch even a little more.

People did ask if we had flyers or cards we could hand out, but sadly we didn't have anything. It sure would be nice to have at least cards we could give out (any volunteers?) at the show.

I also read in the rules that clubs can sell club merchandise at the tent. Perhaps someone could look into that?  :clueless:

Both of these would help get more people to join us.

Edit:
Our tent this year. Banners were up on 2 sides. The event people put a little sign at each club tent, but we do put up these every year.

Tent is clearly marked by a small sign and our large banners. I think business cards would be great and they are cheap enough but for Carlisle flyers could have more info on lunch, dinner and pizza party get togethers and can be put in all the E bodies at the show.

I thought the show was great this year.  More ebodies than I have ever seen there.  But I've only been going for 5 years.
The aar's and t/a's were amazing.
I talked to lots of ebody owners.

This is what I received as feedback towards the "known" fakebook ebodies.org page.
Lots of people visit it.  Seems like it is well liked.
When I would tell everyone to try the FORUM tab most had no idea where it was.
When people would try to click the forum tab, even while I was standing there, they would get massive ads and multiple ads that require a credit card to "sign up" to the forum.  EVERYONE  turns away at that point.  It was a driving factor to many folks not even considering a "forum".
Those ads are killing the forum page.
It does seem like most people are totally consumed with the fakebook attention deficit disorder these days.  There are good topics there but it is almost impossible to find them a week later when you might think about it again or have a moment to spend.
Also doesn't help that everyone is using their phones instead of laptops or home computers.

Here is the next thing, I saw LOTS of ebodies.org decoded tags.  Paper print outs on peoples restoration books etc.
I heard this more than once,  THERE IS NO 71 DECODER AND NO 72-74 DECODER.
avatar_Cuda Cody @Cuda Cody     In my honest opinion after talking to multiple ebody owners, it would be in your best interest to get those decoders working.

Would also help to get your videos working again.

The site needs waaaay more advertising to the car owners.
Sadly, Joey's site febo has a lot more topics and conversations daily.  His has grown and this site has shrunk.

On the bright side, since there are so many for only sites, febo,fcbo,fabo,fbbo,etc.etc.  they only have one tent that they get everyone to register under  FBBO.     So there is no other real designated ebody club.    That does help with the attention.

The tent location was awesome this year!!
I hope it stays there every year.  WAAAY better than down at the end of the strip.  More people walking by.  Way more traffic seeing the tent and the members.
Perhaps offer a free lunch on a banner that requires a registration onto the site.  Not the fakebook site but the forum.

I sure hope the tent stays right where it was this year.  I can't express how much better the location was this year.

Although this years location may have got more traffic by it I don`t think the tent location is a big deal as most people will walk by it going thru the show field no matter where it is. I think having a posted event schedule on the tent and maybe flyers to hand out with info on  Friday night dinner, Saturday lunch and pizza party would be a good idea requiring membership on the forum for the "free" events.

Some good ideas here . . I will try my best to make it to the show next year.  I am hopeful we can get some of the old timers there as well.  Now if avatar_Cuda Cody @Cuda Cody were to come . . That would be epic and certainly draw a lot of members to the event.  I mean he is kind of a celebrity . .  :D
