I have a Holley 750 vac secondary with auto choke on my 440 running an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. Which drop base air cleaner will fit and give me better hood clearance?

Most are shaped very similarly from cheap china ones to K&N , I do recommend using a filter top over a stamped steel one to get better air flow .

Agree with avatar_Chryco Psycho @Chryco Psycho. The drop-base air cleaners from Moroso, Summit, etc. are all very similar and have provisions to clear your throttle linkage and choke.

I used an old gold-anodized Moroso base to lower a repro, fiberglass Shaker baseplate. Worked very well with an XStream lid for more airflow.

Years ago I made this air cleaner and I use a KN filter to get as much air flow as possible. It's probably fine for the few times I drive the car but going with a bigger unit with a filter top will be better.

K&N drop base. Still had to use a 2" filter, and almost no clearance to the hood. Unfortunately with the Edelbrock performer rpm you can't even use a thick carb gasket. Toying with the idea of milling the manifold a bit, but it works fine for me as is.
