The strobe hood blackout with the turbines looks bad ass.   I bet that really pops with good shiny color around it.

Cool.
Really like the hood treatment.

The AMD pan was out of stock, so I used the Sherman floor.

I thought so, since the Sherman floor uses the correct stiffening rib stamp style for 70s and AMD uses the 71 and up stamping.  Beautiful work.

Interesting, I did not know that the 70 & 71 floor pans were different.  Is is true that the AMD floors do not match the originals of a 70 ?

I am late returning to the party, but this is the difference that I was referring to,

In bottom footwell section of the 70 front floor pan, there are six rolled stiffening ribs, and only the two center ribs connect to the hole in the floor.

In the same section of the 71 and up front floor pan, there are only five rolled stiffening ribs and all of the ribs connect to the hole in the floor.

Unfortunately, AMD offers a 1970 specific floor pan, but they F'd up and use the 1971 stiffening rib layout for their 1970 pans.

Very nice!

Post 191 with the dash - where is the 4-speed reverse light?

Is the Challenger the next restoration project?  Yours as well as the two cuda's?

I think I'd put a front valance on there and drive it like that for a year or two! It looks beat, but it also looks badass.

Exactly right, get some miles on it.

I haven't added the reverse 4-speed light yet. I'm still going to do that.  The challenger is my next project, but playing around with the idea of driving it as is for a little while.  At least until the 71 cuda is completely finished.

My next step is putting an 850 proform carb on the 440 and getting it running properly for some fun.

New plugs, MSD pro-billet distributor, Proform 850 carb and she fired right up.  Got the floats set and the mixture screws adjusted.  I settled in around 17 degrees timing with the .484" purple cam shaft.  Sounds great!!
