Hey does anyone know of any good place to go to have a bolt pattern drilled out on my axle flange my wonderful wife got my a set of custom wheels but she got the wrong bolt pattern i have 5x4.5 but the wheels are 5x4.75(a chevy bolt pattern ugh) no i am not got to get a new set of wheels. the most logical thing is either new axles or have my current ones drilled. i want to avoid using adapters

No way to exchange the rims? Shipping might be less than redrilling.
Contact Dr Diff, getting new axels might be cost effective.

return the wheels, or buy other ones with the correct bolt pattern.  wheels are not permanent, and changing the car to fit the lesser-costing wheels is not the ideal path to choose, in my opinion.

otherwise, remove the axles, take them to a machine shop, have them fill and redrill the holes for the studs.  the work may cost as little as... $600 or so.

unfortunately not since these are custom rims the rims themselves would be 800 to replace and i cant return the others. and actually after calling around and doing some digging, Moser the guys who made the rear end said they'll drill it out for 80 bucks and my friend at FedEx will help me ship them. so crisis averted looking at 230 in total. i found a machine shop local that would do it for 285 and another that quoted me 260. so its a no brainer to just send it to the guys who made the parts anyways even though they are in Indiana

Don't forget your brake components. I went through this about 40 years ago with a set of Strange axles in a Dana 60. Setting up the drilling wasn't too bad but the machinist told me that those axles were a real bear to drill (very hard material). It cost me $100 back then so your quote is a steal.
What about the front?

I have Wildwood brakes that have the multi bolt pattern on it so it's not an issue. The fronts worked out fine because I have the multi bolt pattern in the front as well for the brakes.

Sounds like you've got it covered?
How about a pic of these new rims.

Katfish

Was looking at this pic and made me wonder about redrilling the flange.
Is there enough meat for another stud?
Doesn't look like it with the hole for removing the flange bolts?

RUNCHARGER

I would say it doesn't look like enough meat there either.
