When I started to drive legally in 1981 or so, you took drivers ED in school and learned all the rules of the road.  You would take a test and if passed got a drivers license.  Rules were pretty straight forward, never do this and never do that . . . Back then, I would maybe see someone run a red light once in a whole year!!

NOW!  I see that sh!t every day!  It's crazy!  And the number of accidents amazes me . . Not that it is winter now in Michigan and everyone forgets how to drive in the snow, but even before it snowed, there were accidents all the time!  Highway closed because of people driving to fast and who knows . . Looking at their phone!

Anybody noticing anything like this in their states?   :dunno:
Drive it like you stole it . . . And they're CHASING you!

I live in the Chicago area and people do drive pretty nuts here, mostly on the highways and tollways.  Regardless of what lane you're in, or how fast you're going, usually someone will be riding your bumper.
And regardless of how fast I'm going above the speed limit, I'll be getting passed.
Sometimes like I'm standing still.
For the most part people are relatively careful when it's snowy or even raining though.
I hardly ever see anyone pulled over by the police.  It's like they've given up. Sometimes there's areas in the suburbs where the local cops set up speed traps.  On the highways the state police rarely seem to pull anyone over except over the weekend.

No rules here in Panama so everyone is on alert all the time never knowing what to expect , seems much safer here IMO

Was out the other day and came up behind the snow plow. Two cars between me and it and one behind me. Some idiot couldn't wait and just had to pass all four of us plus the plow. He forced the oncoming vehicle onto the shoulder. It's a wonder there wasn't a crash. I used to check the scenery a lot as I drove, can't do that any more.

I see people every time I get on the parkway or interstate texting and driving or watching videos on their phone.  Not to sound bad, but most of the time it is women under 30.  You can always tell because they are all over the road in front of you.
