Crank issues are behind me now.

Made a post yesterday and deleted it because upon rereading my other  crank post the answer was in it. So a quick recap my original forged crank ended up worse than thought and ended up junk. The 340 forged crank my friend had at a good price, his brother wasn't on board with so I stepped away. Machine shop George put the word out for me and got 2 cranks delivered to the shop the 1st was a #2128278 and was in great shape but was a 68 318 forged crank would work but not what I wanted. The second which came today was exactly what came in my 71 engine #2532457 and it was standard/standard. George said it tested out perfect and he was going to turn it .010R and .010M and I would have a very nice crank. He sold me the crank for $75.00 and testing and turning will cost me $110.00 I'm very happy with his deal  I'll pick up the block and crank Tuesday and drop off my J-heads to see what kind of shape they are in.

Cody I was shocked when he said $75 there are two refurbished and ready to go on eBay $799. There was a good deal last week on eBay refurbished with new rod and main bearings $350+ $75 for shipping it's sold. Sure is fun when things are going your way  Money saved means less I have to spend on rods and pistons.
