Guidance needed on seat belts:
My understanding is that a 1970 Cuda from LA had seat belts with long triangle stitches and label date codes like 'F3969'. Whereas Hamtramck had short triangle stitches with label quarterly date codes like '1970-1'.
Is it possible that an LA Cuda had a drivers belt that had short triangle stitches like Hamtramck with an LA style label date code 'F3969'?
I thought I just came across one like this. Did LA ever run dry and get a shipment from the second vendor? or Is it simply done as aftermarket repair?
If anyone can shed light on the possibility, I would be delighted.

What I have heard is that LA cars used belts with the American Safety brand buckle and Hamtramck cars used Pontinnier brand buckles.
They look identical but the name is different on the back.
That would indicate the sets came from 2 different suppliers.
Each supplier likely had different sewing processes.

It would seem unlikely to me that one belt would be different. It could happen or a past customer or dealer replaced it, maybe.
