I'm installing my headliner. Here are a couple of pictures of the rear headliner bow. This can't be right. The kit is aftermarket and labeled for a 1970-1971 Barracuda. Any ideas/comments/help?

Is that a Challenger bow ?

I bought an aftermarket bow kit for my cuda and it was horrible! I returned it and bought a used set.

:iagree:  Find yourself a good 1970 5 piece original.  In 1971 at some point they went to 4 bows so a reproduction set that says 1970 to 1974 is not a good sign that they know what they are dooing.

Also, make sure you have the 2 little wire holders that position the back bow so you can pull everything tight in the correct location.

The thought did cross my mind that it could be a Challenger Bow but I have nothing to compare it to. Hopefully, Classic will let me return them, although it's been a while since I bought them. If not, well...add them to the junk pile.

I think you guys are right, find a set of used ones. At least I'll know they'll fit and avoid the crapshoot. Retainer wires too.

Thanks, guys. :bigthumb:

Well, hard to tell but could you trim the ends a little at a time and get it to fit? :notsure:

I just had the headliner put in my Challenger and used the original bows.  That doesn't look anything like my original.  Those hard bends look off to me.

I checked that just to make sure it wasn't me. The Bow is really too short to reach the slot. That's why it's bending at the roof. About 2 inches per side uninstalled. If I trim the ends, the bow will get shorter and the bend will get deeper at the top.

This Bow just isn't made properly. The radius is all wrong. It doesn't follow the roofline. Junk.

Thanks for the suggestion though. :slapme5:

So I just stole these pictures from Roseville Mopart's website and labelled them how they are listed on their site  :dunno: Think I found your problem :headbang: :console:

I agree with you.

It'll cost me over half of what I paid to return them now. So, why let some other guys get burned over an inferior product when I can get more satisfaction in throwing them in the dumpster.
