Is there supposed to be any type of spacers or "cushions" between the bucket seat tracks and the floor or do they rest flush to the floor with just the studs, and nuts from below?  Mine don't have anything but the seats just seem to be "low" in the cabin.

Thanks!

The tracks just rest on the carpet and the studs go through the carpet and the floor. You can really do anything you want to though. For example, I added 1" tall spacers on the two front studs to make the seats sit a little flatter. Without the spacers, it seemed like the seats tilted down too much. If you added any spacers under the tracks to raise them, the spacers would probably show.

Do a search on eBay for " MOPAR Bucket Seat Rail Spacer Kit Pad Cuda Challenger Charger
Coronet GTX Dart " and you'll find a set of four spacers for sale by Rocketresto.   One set will do 1 bucket seat.

I bought a set of these to try and tilt the seats forward a bit but ultimately, I just mounted the seat on top of the carpet as suggested above.

Roseville has these... were these not used from the factory?

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy horsepower and that's kind of the same thing.....

@headejm ,  so you put the front spacers between the track and the seats?

Interesting... they list them as though there were spacers in there from the factory.

It's a bit tricky to snake your knees in and out even with the seat at the stock height in the front, especially with a stock steering wheel.

Never on an E Body, but they were common on B Bodies, not sure about A Bodies...

I can't imagine not having them on my Cuda. They are between the rails and carpet. After everything is tightened down, they smash into the carpet enough that you can't see them.

Yea, I find it odd that anybody wants there seat "higher" in an E Body, most people want it lower and further back  :dunno:

@RUNCHARGER, that's a good point; had not thought of that.  Is the stock wheel very much larger than a tough wheel?

I definitely wanted my seats higher - I am vertically challenged to begin with and the seat foam was totally shot so it was like sitting on the floor!
