Convertible pin anti rattle plastic

Question does the anti rattle plastic go into the pin receiver under or on top of the stainless header trim?

Yeah, mine are on top but I've toyed with seeing how they'd fit underneath the trim. I really don't like how they look or function currently.

Yea, on top and they look like crap. Looks like an afterthought after they designed the car.

At least the '71 ones screw in, not like the '70 ones that just drop in and lift up (sometimes completely out) if the pins aren't perfectly centered when you lower the top.
