Hey Guys,

I purchased new sunvisor plates and sunvisors for the Challenger convertible and I have 2 questions.

1.  I can't for the life of me get the visor slid onto the sunvisor plate rod.  Any suggestions?  I've tried grease and soap and no luck I get it on a couple of inches and then it stops.  I tried tapping it on with a rubber hammer but no luck.  If I hit harder I feel like I'm going to screw them up.

2. When I screw the plate into the window frame and I move the rod to the side and back again it completely loosens up.  I tighten the bolt on the backside but it's either too tight and won't move or becomes sloppy.  What am I missing.  Thanks

Dave

Getting the visors on is tough.  I'm not sure there is any trick other that working them on by pushing and rotating.

In order to keep the rods tight you will need to use the cup washers and lock nut from the originals.  A new lock nut wouldn't be a bad idea either.  I think even with this I had to take mine back off and tighten after I installed the visors onto the rods.

I didn't take any pictures of the washers but here is on a grabbed from a current ebay auction.
