Dash caps

Since mine is a driver............and on a budget..........cap is the way i went...........fit well.........has been on for about 10 years now........no problems........

I had one on my '71 Challenger and hated it. Looked cheap, cheesey, and never fit right.  Honestly, I would rather have a cracked dash and save up for a good steel core replacement.

Agree - I've just been dealing with my cracked dash. Once it's fixed, man will I be happy.

I think its just a GT wheel, it was on the car when I bought it so I'm not 100% sure.

Mine is a '74 and it has a rectangular nameplate, about 3x1, that fit into the corresponding 3x1 indent, and the Challenger script is on the plate. The '70s have just a script nameplate, so this could be the source of discontent among earlier model dash cap users.

I'll try to get some pics up if time allows this weekend.

Thanks that would be great. I suspect you are right, getting the 70 style scripting to look ok would be a lot harder than the 71-74 name plate style.
