Dash rebuild completed

1970 Barracuda, 225 slant 6, 3spd manual, bare bones base model.

Dash frame was powder coated, new M&H wiring harness, I refurbished the dash pad (not even close to perfect. but it's a driver, not a show car) and rebuilt the stock radio by tearing out the old electronic guts and replaced with a Bluetooth/USB board that I custom mounted so the original volume knob works - this is on its own separate power switch so it can play tunes while I walk a show and still have my keys with me. USB port in the glove box

 I also put a Tachometer in the spot where the clock normally goes (if so equipped). Bypassed the AMP gauge in favor of a true volt gauge and to avoid the potential fire hazard. The only thing that I will add later is an air/fuel ratio digital readout.

Wow, great job on the dash rebuild! How long did it take you from start to finish, including the restoration of the dash pad? I know it's super costly too, but it looks fabulous. I like how you hooked up the power to it as well to test it out.

Thanks! Condensed time was about 2 weeks. Buuuut ... the frame was powder coated in '21, long in between times of restoring components (wrinkle paint was 'fun' to re-do a couple times) and waiting on misc parts, multiple runs to the local Ace hardware (awesome selection of nuts/bolts/fasteners you just don't see at places anymore), etc.

Yessir! Powder Doctor is who I used, *highly* recommended. They really worked with me to get the right color match and also did my interior headliner trim the same.

Happy to help bro. I'm really really happy with how it all turned out. I know the lower dash frame is supposed to be a flat body color and I think they did a pretty darn good match for powder coating after a few test sprays of a few close matches. If you call them, talk to Mollee, she's the best

That is nothing short of stellar! The only thing I'd change is the toggle switch by replacing it with a factory one. It's also great to see someone not tossing out a /6. These cars are getting as rare as factory hemi cars. Again, BEAUTIFUL work!
