Anyone use this stuff on the interior before?  Just thinking about possibly using something like this on some custom trunk panels.  I assume this is what people use in these applications?  Wondering if it holds up.  Found some pics in a google search...

The stuff you've link is never gonna look like the stuff in the pictures... Especially the second photo.... They spent a little more than $6...  Have a look at this stuff....

I was just watching a show last night where they made these panels. They cut grooves in the floor panels with a router. Covered that in material. Then set a piece of aluminum that they rounded the edges into the groove.

:haha:  Yah, I know.  That was just the first thing that popped up.  Thanks for the link.

I thought about doing a combination of white and black vinyl.  Something shiny to separate the two would look good.  I could probably make something myself out of 1/4" thick aluminum too.

If you want to make your own moldings a standard router with a carbide blade will cut aluminum fine... A buddy does allot of aluminum & he has a router table with various attachments for creating trim... But his stuff is mostly in multimillion dollar homes so I doubt he has anything in the $6 range either...  Or even the $100 range...

Some cars from the 30's had molding on the running boards. Some have rubber centers others are all chrome. I built a 36 roadster with pontoon fenders connected by running boards and plan to do what this builder did.
