I have both door panels that I think are from a Gran Coupe. I think they are 1970.

The drivers panel only has a hole for the window crank and a hole for the remote mirror,
but no mounting holes for the GranCoupe script emblem.

The passenger panel has a hole for the window crank and it does have the
three mounting holes for the script molding, up high ( where the mirror hole is
on the drivers panel).

So this car would only get a Gran Coupe emblem on the passenger side.

Does this seem correct ? Or is something not right ?

Do they have the wood grain inserts on both ?

Yes, black panels with brown woodgrain.

Something is odd for sure if they are from the same car...emblems should be on both doors...On the backside, does it look like the woodgrain was installed in the same fashion on both doors ? Possible one panel was replaced ? Could also be a factory screw-up as well  :dunno:

OK, some interesting info:

Drivers door casting numbers  LH  2879609  4675
4675 without holes
4655 with holes

These are all cast-in numbers, so this panel is actually cast with the 4675 code,
and it does not have the emblem holes drilled.

Passenger door casting numbers  RH  2879608  4674
4674 without holes
4654 with holes

Same deal, this panel is cast with the "without holes" code

So, my passenger panel was drilled by SOMEONE MYSTERIOUS.

Could have come from a CUDA or BARRACUDA w/the leather option, which got you the GC door woodgrain.

hemienvy

Hmm, Ragtop, I did not know that.
So leather seats would get you the wood grain inlay, but no GC emblems ?

ragtopdodge

Well...let me think on that.  Maybe it's a different package that would give you the woodgrain.

But I've seen both Barracudas and Cudas w/the woodgrain, but maybe they were retrofitted.

I would anticipate if the interior code began with a "P" instead of an "H" you got the wood grain door inserts as part of the upgraded interior package.
Then, if it was on a Barracuda there was no door panel emblem unlike the Gran Coupe or 'cuda.
