I recently purchased two original luggage racks for my Cuda to get all of the parts that I need to a complete rack.   The one at the bottom of the picture is typical of what you typically see on these cars and it is the one going on my car.  I assume that is a 'factory' original.   Notice that the bottom is straight.  The one at the top is very similar but the bottom has a slight curve.  I'm guessing that this rack was used on a different car (Mopar) as I have never seen it on a Cuda or Challenger.  I'm hoping that someone can help me identify it as I would like to sell it on and want to advertise it properly.  It does not seem to be an after market part as it is so so close in design to the other one.   Thanks!

I can't give you a positive answer, but Corvettes had them back in the day also. Hopefully someone can let you know what it might be off of.   I tried to insert a picture but I haven't figured out how to do it with the site changes.

It's very close,  but only has four mounting points.  This one has six.  See bend at the end of the bar that goes across. Thanks for the tip anyway.

Could that curve be a result of it being bent, I can't tell if both the top and bottom are curved. How about the bars, are they the same length?
Edit: I just noticed that the top/curved one doesn't have the holes in the two middle rungs for the extra 2 feet. A real mystery you have there. I did a quick Google this morning and didn't find anything that looked like it.

Factory installation drawing. The bent one in your picture is not correct for E- bodies.

Maybe a 1969 Corvette luggage rack?

AMC maybe?  :dunno:
