Are there photos here that show the mounting of the hood release cable and where it passes through the firewall on a Challenger? Also, is there a source for the grommet? Thx!

Never knew there was a release cable inside the car!  Apparently my car didn't get that option.

As it was once said, "Google is my friend". Hope this helps, ideally a service manual pictorial would be the best. Pictures start at Post#5,

I try to ignore guys that tattoo their eye lids, but since you asked....I have no idea what the cable mount looks like....I don't recall ever restoring an E Body that had that option. :dunno:

Strange, looks like it goes through the same grommet as the speedo cable. How could there be enough room through the hole for them to piggyback each other, unless it's a 2 hole grommet like the washer foot pump.

The ebodiesonly pics showed that there is a separate hole in the firewall right beside the speedo's, but I haven't gotten under mine to look yet. I'll let you know, but my firewall is a replacement AMD part and may not have all the oem holes either.
