with 20% off, thinking about ordering door panels for my Cuda from Legendary - anyone have any feedback on fit, finish and quality - I know they won't be OEM, but I am not sure I want to tackle trying to find and restore originals, that one just doesn't seem worth the effort for me

Also, is the rear seat install kit worth it, or am I better to just source it from my local fabric shop - there is one near me with a huge selection of automotive stuff

I know there are two types of reproduction panels out there, the vacuum formed plastic ones which aren't quite correct but you can get in different colors or the better reproductions which are injected molded but only offered in black and white. The ones legendary offers seem to be the injected molded ones. Legendary is well renowned for their seat covers over everything else, so I would assume that their rear seat is a superior product

Metro made Red and Blue panels in the beginning.  Now the best panels are still metro but only in black and white.
Roseville carries the metro panels.  I purchased a red set and they look great.  Best on the market.

I couldn't remember the name of them, but Metro are the ones to get. I got lucky and bought my set when the old owner sold the company @ 5-6 years ago and liquidated some sets - I got blue front and rear for $600. Crazy how high the prices are now.

I also purchased the metro red dash.
I've since sourced and purchased another red dash.
Sure wish I would have picked up a full set of blue interior panels when they were for sale.

When I ordered my seat covers and seat foams from Legendary I also got the rear seat installation kit while I was at it. As it turns out the guy that installed my vinyl top, seat covers & headliner had a lot of extra materials & stuff so I likely didn't even need to buy the rear seat installation kit had I asked him about it first. I would think you could probably save a few bucks going to the local store for that stuff as well.

I took a quick look for Cuda door panels on their website and couldn't find them. Wanted to see if by any chance they also had rear convertible white Cuda panels. Gotta link for the door panels?

I had the same trouble.... You have to filter by "Barracuda", when I filter by "Cuda" nothing comes up.

Hi all,

I was excited to see the discount of up to 20 percent off for Easter, but when I looked yesterday (4/20/25), it said only items that weren't custom designs. Thereafter, it was only 10 percent. And I too got a bit confused when I only saw carpet listed for interiors, and no seat covers. After poking around a bit more, I only found those on Legendary's "Custom Design Center" (which I am sure everyone else did), and you had to actually pick "70 Cuda Vinyl Style Bkts Seats." (Why they didn't spell out Bucket is beyond me  ::) ...) The upshot was it was kind of cool to create your own seat, but honestly, I didn't think the prices were all that great. It wasn't a great user experience either - IMO.

I bought mine from Classic, and while it purportedly was "20 percent off", after my higher math, it was only 8 percent. Not a great savings, but still something. And it was off-the-shelf black for my '70.

Anyway, I still think I might order a set from Legendary, because it's so customizable that while slightly more, I will get exactly what I want.

It is definitely no the easiest site to navigate - almost better not to use the model filter until you are in the category you need.

I don't think there is anyone else offering the leather seat covers so I don't have much choice other than Legendary

When I bought my legendary leather seat kit for my 71 Gran Coupe they didn't offer a leather rear seat, I haven't installed the covers on the rear seat yet but I didn't need any installation kit to do the front just some stainless steel 3/4" hog rings
