Hi all, just wondering what the percent tint is on original factory glass (1973), and whether it's worth adding aftermarket tint? I'm not looking for the dark cosmetic appearance, just a little help in keeping the interior cool. This car will be a driver and we get some sun in Kansas. Thanks,
Bill

The factory tint was very light, standard on a/c cars.
Because there are no vent windows, E-bodies heat up quick inside.
Went to a Ceramic type high UV tint. It is not the shade that blocks the heat. So a light tint on the windshield and darker tint on the side/rear windows cools down my wife's Black interior upholstery by at least 30%.
Car can sit outside in the sun all day and still be nice inside after work.
:bigthumb:Cost about $400. but well worth it.

Thanks for reply Leo! I added ceramic film to my '69 fastback cuda and it made a noticeable difference in temperature on sunny days. But that car had untinted windows, I'm just wondering if it matters as much when glass is already tinted from factory.
