We are putting in the rear side panels.  There is a screw hole at the rear end of the part by the window.  It seems like a sxrew is needed here.  However, there seems to be no place on the sheet metal for the screw to attach.  What am I missing here?

Could this be the part you are missing?  I think one goes at the top and the other at the bottom.

Yep, that bracket on the right is the one that goes there.  I made the same mistake the first time I went to reassemble my interior.  The bottom one screws to the rear seat floor.

It appear that there is no hole in the car for the top bracket to attach to.  This is a 70 Challenger, but not necessarily a 70 side panel

Early Challenger back panels did not have that bracket or the screw in that location.
Up until about January the back panel had the the screw about 6" further back.

I've come across this issue before too...just put a short screw in the panel with a clip nut on the backside and move on :alan2cents:
