Has anyone run into this before, or am I just the lucky one?  The reproduction console lid that I have here has no screw plate for the lock screws to tighten against.  Kind of a big miss if you ask me...  I guess I'll have to transfer my existing one over and maybe JB weld it to the new lid unless anybody has a better solution?  I can't swap that inner shell out only since there is naturally a different shaped notch between the two that prevents that.

Some of these parts kill me in the quality department.  Everything else about the lid seems great, but it's missing this not so minor detail.

Unrelated note, my PG Classics Rallye gauge and switch housing don't have mounting holes drilled either, so I get to fix that too.  Might be why they were on sale!   :haha: :haha: :haha:

I have a new dash pad from ABC, factory A/C vents and speaker grilles, and all new plastic trim along with this Rallye cluster.  Fingers crossed that all of this will actually fit together without looking like crap!  I know I'll be trimming at least one of the vent openings since the pad material is too thick where the vent screws to it.  Baby steps.....

Thanks, Tony.  I bought just the lid recently through Roseville.  Wasn't sure if it was by design or not.  I bought it because the original has half of the screw bosses sheared off and can't be used.  I'll shoot you an email shortly.

I bought one from tony, and the plate was missing as well. I made my own out of sheet metal, Put the latch on, and then put the cover on. Easy and only took a few minutes.  :alan2cents:
