What are the large holes in light bar for ?

That portion of the frame is the same for standard light bars with 3 lights.

They don't seem to serve any purpose as to the fit or function of the light bar or dash, perhaps they were needed in the process of making the light bar?

Double check the picture, wires for the bulb sockets of a standard dash go through those holes and it's from where the socket is pulled out.

D'oh! I guess the coffee hadn't hit the bloodstream when I posted that this morning, I was only thinking about the rallye light bars.
