I've got a set of door panels with the woodgrain inserts that I want to use but the chrome edges have turned brownish (see attached pic). I've seen the same thing on a couple of other door panels I looked at.

Any idea how to restore the chrome finish?

Only thing that might be possible outside of trying to find a professional restorer, which might be impossible for the trim inlays is trying one of the fine tip paint pens with a chrome finish. It may look better than what it is. If you go this route, get a very fine tip pen and then you may still have to sharpen the tip with a razor blade so to have better control over the flow of the application. And if you try it, practice on something else before going to the actual inlay. You may like how it looks or totally unhappy with the results.

As far as I know, there are not any reproductions of the inlays. Good luck with the project and keep us informed on how it turns out.
