Welcome from a fellow So Cal'er.

Hope to see you out at Fall Fling in Van Nuys.

I wouldn't miss it!  I doubt the Cuda will be ready this year but we will see.

Great place to get parts for your project. I'll have few E-body parts out there for sale.

Looks like a super nice project.  My plan is to go to Fall Fling too so maybe I'll see you there.   :bigthumb:

Welcome! from Florida. Looks like a nice project, have fun with it. I see you have QA 1 suspension parts, I was thinking about changing over myself soon if I can.

Another SoCal member here saying welcome.  Yes it's fun, but no it's not cheap.  I feel like the real battle is what do I want to change and what can I be happy with which is sometimes hard to decide.  Just try to restore as many parts as you can and that helps with the costs.

Stay cool, it's hot out.

Ain't that the truth.  eBay has been price friendly on certain parts from my experience.  For example, I needed a new sending unit ground strap for my gas tank and saw that most websites have this little metal strap for $30+.  I found it on eBay for $10 shipped.  It's the little things like that which add up if you're not careful.

Two areas which I haven't found a cost effective method around is body/paint work and motor work.  I'm getting close to the paint process of my resto so my search for a decent paint job continues.  If you know anyone you recommend in So Cal for this, I would appreciate it.

Gawd I love orange E-bodies. I think it all started in  late fall of 69 when a neighbor bought a new 440+6, Vitamin C, shaker, Cuda.

What's funny is I always wanted a B5 Blue 70 Cuda but ended up with an orange one.  I said to myself, "It will be B5 blue again" since the car was originally B5 Blue.  Then the current color orange grew on me in a massive way...
