73ChallengerRallye

Found this 73 Challenger Rallye up in north Texas last year while working in Oklahoma, and brought her home to NM. Not much is known about the car, it seem to have been "restored" sometime in the early 90's. It started life as a 318 car in Rallye trim with A/C, red with a white top and interior according to what I could learn from the fender tag. If I decoded it wrong, I'd love to know! She's pretty rough, had some very shady body work done, and seems to have been hit hard on the passenger quarter. From the looks of things, I'll need to replace the right quarter, inner structure, front floor pans, and possibly the roof skin. At some point a 1967 440HP was installed. Borescoping the cylinders revealed very clean and shiny flat top pistons marked .060 and excellent bores with a strong crosshatch. So I presume it wasn't run much at all. The seller installed a new fuel tank and pump and had it running, though we couldn't get it to start when I bought it.

Since, I replaced the entire brake system, cooling system, and a QuickFuel Brawler 750 to get it running and driving. No idea what the cam specs are, but it is pretty choppy and runs great.

The plan right now is to drive and enjoy the car as it is. Eventually, I'll do the body work and install a white top and interior as it should have.
