Hello,

Thanks for letting me join! I am retired Navy and my wife and I live in the upstate region of South Carolina (between Spartanburg and Greenville).

I just took delivery of my first Cuda the other day. It is a 1974 Cuda automatic car that originally came with a 360. It is a project car and I am really looking forward to bringing her back to life.

Some parts are missing and I have my work cut out for me but she has good bones.

Again, thanks for adding me and I am enjoying reading and learning.

Thanks, Jeff

Thanks everyone! Thanks for the heads up on the production numbers. There is no fender tag or build sheet but the vin is BS23L4Bxxxxxx so do I have a 1974 360 'Cuda?

Plans....lol, right now sourcing the missing parts. The only rust was the driver fender and both doors. I already picked up two used rust and dent free doors (though the driver is a '70) and have yet to source the fender.

Have found a '84 and '91 complete 360's and a 727 - the rear appears to be a 489 case with a 3.55 sure grip. (I think)

Anyway, thanks for the welcome! Reading on here is like drinking from a fire hose :)

Yes, the L in your VIN indicates it was born as a 360-4bbl, a rare fish indeed. I think the numbers are something like under 800 360/automatics out of a production run of around 11,700. Not that it matters too much since the original drivetrain is missing, it's a nice cool car either way

Welcome to the site!  Best place to be for knowledge and especially a little motivation when things go south!

Great looking project- at first glance I thought you were in assembly phase, the paint doesn't look to bad
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy horsepower and that's kind of the same thing.....
