KalliCuda73

Hello all,
Just wanted to introduce myself and my Cuda. Im George and im from the Bay Area. Just bought a 1973 Cuda. I probably overpaid in the heat of the auction but it happens. When i was a baby my dad had a plymouth in the same color and i think that definitely added to me needing this car.  Now i just need to get through the CHP vin verification (wish me luck) and hopefully they dont try to hassle me about the upgrades.  I am missing the door VIN (federal certification sticker) so im just trying to find out more on the codes. Thanks!

Deezel

yes now im just trying to figure out the date. Order was March 30. But im having a hard time finding when it was actually built. I found this online:   "395579 was built May 18. 448917 was built June 30". trying to narrow it down more since this would probably put my build date in May if im correct.

Have you looked to see if there is a broadcast sheet?

does CA actually require you to have this decal?

without the original, somebody will have to guess at the dates, it was "SCHEDULED" FRIDAY 3/30/73 & it could've been built weeks early to months late.  cars were NOT built in VIN order

your "CONSUMER INFORMATION" folder was printed MONDAY 3/19/73 and is often seen dated 5-7 days before the door decal date

the top date:  3-73 is a pretty safe bet
the lower date: monthmonthdaydayhourhour car completion date somewhere around 0323?? and 0326?? (personally, I would use Saturday or Sunday & 8AM 032508 - surely the UAW wasn't working)

I do NOT know how much of a database ECS has for the weights, but if you look on-line for other door decals for '73 'cudas with 318 / automatic / no-A/C you should be able to find the correct weights
