Hi All,

Going way back, I liked the Mustangs when they came out and the second gen fastback Barracudas were nice, but then in the fall of 1969 there appeared a vision: the Challenger. Was heavily into bicycles at that point, racing and and starting to build bikes for fire road/trail riding on Mt. Tamalpias in Marin county. In 1978 I picked up a not-so-well repainted bright blue 318/904 car with a 2.73 rear end.

Had always wanted a corner turning TA so mods were done mid-1980's to make it so: 340 six pack with a slightly hotter cam, built 727, original TA iron headers, TA front and rear sway bars, wide rubber and wheels, grill/headlights, 240Z seats and a pretty big drop. Since the 340 six pack was in the 1971 manual, it was fun to go to California's Air Resources Board and getting the referee on board with the engine swap. It now has a plate on the door frame that says: "Required equipment 3 x 2bbl carbs".

Basically parked it in 1997 and let it rot, including a serious case of wood rats. Have spent the last two years getting it back on the road after some inspiration from a friends build. Will go into more detail in a build post, but here's a teaser pic; as purchased, including the trailer hitch!

PS. Briefly had a 1970 RT SE that had had the complete drive train stripped out and replaced with a 383 2bbl drive train.
