Pretty cool stuff right there. Got nobody famous here, but I got lucky and as my first duty station Im in the sunshine state working with the F-35

Chryco Psycho

Thanks for the offer , never know where I might drop into .
I would not go to 496 with a 383 block , the oil ring will be over the wrist pin with the piston that short 430 ci works great , 470 is ok , but 496 is more of a race build
At least the 383 will get you back on the road again for now. :bradsthumb:
Have fun with the F35 !!

Drew,

It's great you popped in here!    :)

I don't know what year it was. Maybe '09? But anyway I picked you up from a Hotel here near the BWI airport because you were staying the night before your next flight. We met purple1 and had dinner later.

Hey Mike,

How have you been. I remember that. What better way to say hello to the US again than getting picked up by a friend in a new challenger and getting crab cakes.

how do you get a 470 or 430? I've only seen the two kits that 440source has

Chryco Psycho

440 crank & rods gives you 432 approx depending on the bore ,it removes 7 lbs of rotating mass
big block that revs like small bock !, this is a 3/8" stroke increase & revs like a small block
The 470 is 1/2 stroke instead of but only lists for the 400 block not the 383 so they may not have the right piston for that combo

Some days it's a dream. Others not so much. But I'm in a nice location and have a good amount of garage space and get to have a job I enjoy.
