OEM 1970 E-Body Bendix 8550 power brake booster. Just back from being rebuilt by a company with 50 years in the business.

Hi,

will this booster okay for 1971 340 early production drum brakes? Or it´s for disc brake only?

Thanks,

Mira

@cuda hunter Thanks, I forgot about that.

@FRUIKO464 I know in 1970 this booster was used on both power drum and power disc cars. Supposedly some of the early 71 cars received this booster as well. So it would/could work on a 71 however the matching brake pedal linkage must also be used. Unfortunately I don't have an extra one.

I do however, also have a complete 1971 Bendix booster #10931, 3461187 master cylinder, and matching brake linkage. It is all unrestored as of now. I might send it all out to get rebuilt or I could sell it as-is. If any of this interests you let me know.

(Go over to the test area, make a bunch of posts, and then send me a PM.)  :bigthumb:
