Very interesting.  I have a few of questions.

1.  Can you show us a picture of the underside?
2.  Is the main (middle) scoop functional?
3.  Are the side scoops open?  If so, is there some way of diverting rainwater?
4.  What kind of internal supports does the bolt-on hood have?
