What's the difference between the three speed and the two speed linkage?

OK - other than part numbers, what is the difference in the actual arms/linkage?  I had a two speed on my car and am switching to varialble/3 speed.  I have the motor and the transmission link.  I was planning on using the wiper arms/pivots I already had.  Will they not fit/work?

The connections to the motor are totally different as is the link from the crank to the left pivot. The other stuff can be re-used.

I've not had to try it myself, but I think it would be possible / not too difficult to weld up the large hole in the 2-speed arm, and drill a hole for the bushing needed for the variable speed motor link. Megaparts has the bushing and matching punches.

It's been done. Actually a guy from Quebec sells a "kit" with a filler disc, measurements and bushing. His name's Sylvain, here it is.

I just replaced my wiper bushings for my 3spd setup with this kit.  Not cheap by any means but no-one sells them except for Slyvian and Mega.  It was a necessary repair and wasn't too difficult after watching Slyvian's You tube video on this very topic.
