Hi guys,

I'm selling my valve covers off of my 71 Challenger 340.  Not sure if they are original to the motor they are what came on it.  They have EM-23 stamped on the inside.  They are in great shape and yes they do come with the wire looms.  I'm not sure how much to ask just shoot me a price.  Figure about $20.00 for shipping.  Thanks

Dave

Someone on our Facebook group said these were 1970.   :dunno:

Cody, I did some research with pics, etc. that I have. 70-72 are the same with the exception of the TA 340.

Could they be 318?  Are the 318's and 340 different?

challenger6pak

According to the parts book 318-360 are the same in 71. 70 used a different part number for right 318, 340 and used the same left as 71. It may be as simple as a tab in a different location than the previous year.

most 340s
RH has a heat shield to protect the wiring from the choke well

Is a@Scott Smith on here. He should know what is what. He does a lot with Duster 340 cars (amoung other things).

Cuda Cody

Yes, @ScottSmith_Harms  is the 340 expert!  He might know what they came off of?

Daveh

Let me know if anyone is interested in purchasing them.  Thanks

ScottSmith_Harms

Those started life being painted blue and were 1970-1972 era 318 Valve covers. The stampings are the same as other small block valve covers of that respective era but the 340 covers had different brackets and tabs.
