So, I''m still looking for the dash speaker cover on a radio delete car.

Anyone have one they want to sell?    Or have one they can take a picture of so I know what I'm looking for.

Or maybe a part number??

Yup under the standard speaker grill is a piece of black cardboard in the oval shape.
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

Did that piece of cardboard have a factory part number?

Or did they just send joe out to cut a chunk the right shape from one of their shipping box's?

I have never seen one.  Only heard Alan talk about one.
So I really would like to see one.  what thickness?  what type of cardboard?

Not much else to ask about a piece of cardboard.  But I am curious.

Another production line part that likely has no part number....

Not sure why you're having a hard time figuring this out....Best way to describe it is bristol board, the same as you used on your grade nine science project....

Here's the original one from my 1971 340 "radio delete" Cuda. It's held in place by the same hex head screws that hold a speaker in place.

Thanks Alan.  That's exactly what I wanted to see.  First time seeing one.

I always heard it was a black cardboard insert, but had also never seen one.
Nice to finally put a face with the name.
