Looking for a headlight switch toggle knob.
I can modify a later (73/74) by adding the dot if anyone has that version.
PM me here
Thanks

Rich G.

I have both switches if you need them.

I'm really just looking for the black knob. I don't need the switch.
PM me though and let me know what you are looking to get.
Thanks

How does the knob come off the switch.
I have 2 that dont work and tried pulling them off but it did not work.

It's difficult to pull them off because there's a barb on the metal shaft. Often times they get damaged when pulling them off because of that barb. I've read somewhere to carefully heat the metal shaft which softens the internal plastic enough. I tried that once with a micro torch and melted the knob. Maybe pour a few drops of oil down in there to lessen the binding friction.  :dunno:  Good luck
Edit: I usually file down that protrusion before re-installing the knob (picture added too).

Thanks for the tip. The reason my current one is so easy to take off is probably because it's cracked.
