looking for an original passenger side captive sliding nut for the front hood hinge tat is mounted to the fender well

Are these reproduced (my search turned up zero) or does anyone have one on hand they are willing to sell?

I am sorry, but I am going to have to concur with our colleague; if one is good, definitely two or even three is better. I have been trying to have duplicates of a lot of parts, and try to never throw anything away if I can help it. This is especially true for attachment hardware and clips, retainers, etc. I am always surprised when I see my friends toss out perfectly good factory-style bolts. I always keep them and simply have them media blasted and re-anodized. I makes it so much simpler when trying to reassemble a project car.

I am starting to "collect" multiples of the same part - having bought something I need only to find a better quality or NOS item along the way - I have about 6 front fenders, 3 header panels, a bunch of big mouth calipers - I keep saying I am going to start selling some of these things to recoup some cash, but feel a bit like a hoarder and that if I sell anything I may never get it again

It's just a flat bar drilled and tapped one hole, then take a hard wheel disc grinder and grind out the flats so it's adjustable, bend over the tabs..... no special tools to make that?
